Thanks a Million

One Million Thank-You Notes. Countless Lives Touched.

We’re on a mission to send one million handwritten thank-you notes. Yep, ONE MILLION. And we’d love for you to be part of it.

Not emails. Not text messages. Not a thumbs-up emoji.

Actual, honest-to-goodness, handwritten thank-you notes.

The kind that show up in someone’s mailbox, make them smile, and remind them that they matter.

Because in a world that’s moving a million miles an hour, sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is slow down long enough to say two simple words:

Thank you.

Why a Million?

Well, we had to start somewhere!

But seriously, the number isn’t really the point.

The point is the teacher who spent a little extra time helping you believe in yourself.

The friend who showed up when life got messy.

The coworker who makes Mondays a little less Monday-ish.

The parent, mentor, neighbor, coach, or complete stranger who made your life better, whether they realized it or not.

There are people walking around this world who have absolutely no idea how much they’ve meant to someone.

We think it’s time they found out.

One million thank-you notes means one million opportunities to make someone feel seen, valued, and appreciated.

And here’s the beautiful part: The person writing the note gets something out of it, too.

Because gratitude has a funny way of changing the person expressing it just as much as the person receiving it.

Why Handwritten?

Don’t get us wrong. We love technology. We’re pretty fond of indoor plumbing, too.

But there’s something different about a handwritten note.

Someone took the time to find a card, pick up a pen, think about you, write something meaningful, and actually send it.

That’s not just communication.

That’s intention.

A text might get read and forgotten in 30 seconds.

A handwritten thank-you note might end up on someone’s refrigerator, tucked inside a desk drawer, or saved in a shoebox for the next 20 years.

It’s a small gesture with the potential for a very long shelf life.

And we think the world could use a whole lot more of those.

Meet the Guy Behind the Gratitude

Hey there! I’m Jon Evans, also known as The Gratitude Dude.

I’m a speaker, an encourager, a guy who loves making people laugh, and someone who believes life is just plain better when we appreciate the people around us.

I have a pretty simple personal mission:

I want every person I encounter, whether it’s one-on-one or in a room full of people, to leave better than they were when we met.

That’s it.

I don’t always get it right. I’m human. I have bad days, get frustrated, and occasionally need a reminder to practice what I preach.

But I believe gratitude is one of the most powerful tools we have to change how we experience life and how we treat each other.

And the best part?

You don’t have to be wealthy, famous, extraordinarily talented, or have your entire life figured out to make someone else’s day better.

Sometimes all it takes is a pen, a piece of paper, and a few sincere words.

That’s why I started Thanks a Million.

I wanted to turn something I believe deeply into something we could actually DO together.

Something simple. Something meaningful. Something that could grow far beyond one person.

And maybe, just maybe, make the world a little better along the way.

This Isn’t Just About Thank-You Notes

Here’s what I really hope happens.

I hope you write a thank-you note to someone who made a difference in your life.

I hope they open it and feel appreciated.

I hope it makes their day.

But more than anything, I hope the experience changes the way you see the world around you.

Maybe you start noticing the little things people do.

Maybe you become a little quicker to say something kind.

Maybe you start appreciating things you’ve been taking for granted.

And maybe you discover that gratitude isn’t just something you feel when life is going well.

It’s a way of living that can make life better, even when things aren’t going so well.

That’s the real mission behind Thanks a Million.

The million notes? That’s just how we’re getting started.

Ready to Make Somebody’s Day?

You don’t need special stationery. You don’t need fancy handwriting. And you definitely don’t need to write something worthy of a greeting card commercial.

You just need someone to thank.

Think of a person who has made your life a little better.

Grab a pen.

Tell them why they matter.

Send it.

Then come back and let us know so we can count your note toward our million-note mission.

One note. One person. One moment of gratitude at a time.

Let’s make a million people smile.

And then let’s keep going.
